Outreach Ministries

Food Pantry and Fuel Fund: This ministry
provides food and fuel to families who may be
experiencing difficulties for any reason. A variety of events
help to fund these ministries including the White Elephant sale in
January and the Calk Walk in February. Donated groceries can
be placed in the wooden box in the narthex. |
| Public Suppers: This
ministry is made up of many people who form five main teams: the
people who donate food items, the set-up crew, the greeters, the
kitchen crew, and the serving crew. Public Supper are served
the second Saturday of each month. |

Adopt-A-Highway Road Clean-up:
Members meet at Pickles in Spring Mills to pick up the
litter along two mile stretch of Route 45. Check the Upcoming
Events Page for the next date. |

Hat, Mitten, and Coat Drive:
Winter attire is collected in November and on the second
Saturday of December we open the doors of New Hope to anyone
in need of coats, hats, mittens, scarves and gloves. The
extras are donated to local agencies.
Angel Tree for Centre County Youth Services:
Supports children in a Centre County family.
Peanut Butter and Jelly Collection for area
daycare: Supports the children of Park Forest Day Nursery in State College with food
for over the Christmas break when the nursery is closed.

Light the Night: A
safe family celebration of Halloween filled with lots of games,
prizes, treats, and refreshments. This event is held
annually on the same evening as trick-or-treating at Railroad
street in Spring Mills from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Red Cross Blood Drives: In
2004 New Hope hosted its first blood drive. Since that time,
New Hope has helped hundreds of people throughout the county and
beyond with donations. Even if you are unable to give blood,
you can still help by getting the word out, assisting at the blood
drive, or by donating food. The blood drives are held bi-monthly,
usually on the nearest holiday. Check

Parking Cars at Penns Cave:
In the spring and fall, we park cars for the antique machinery
